Whats The Best Anti-virus Software?

    The free norton stuff is worthless, most people dont suggest using it. If you have 50 or so dollars to put down for an antivirus software get norton internet security (i think this is the one i have) This thing blocks everything that could be bad for your computer (even animation >.<, but you never get spyware and viruses) For email get the mozilla program you buy, it takes out all of the viruses in your email.

    Avast.com get the Pro version if youre so paranoid with free AV's..

    i like pc illian

    but norton is good if you dont mind it takin up a bunch of memory

    Well, I personally think that BitDefender is the best anti-virus program i've seen.

    linux and anything built on top of it. Most other unix based software is also exampt though.

    Take it from someone who knows, IF you are dead set on buying one make it Kaspersky. But I would reccomend AVG free as the others have stated. But dont buy Norton or McAfee both are seriously lacking.

    ^ very much so, yes...

    you can take a look at my free software. theres a link in my sig. almost all of those AV's have pay versions as well. ;)

    Go buy the McAfee pesonel firewall,anti Viruse plus 2005 edition it blocks everything no viruses,spyware its awsome the firewall is extremley worth it and so is the ant viruse but just to make sure i got all the bad stuff out i got nortan free edition and adaware se and spybot
