I Need Some Help Please

    i have been locked out of my laptop. cannot figure out what the password was originally set to... it is a dell laptop and it has windows xp home edition. i cannot figure out what to do
    Someone told me to go thru the ms-dos but i dont know what to do from there
    ...... if you have any info on what i can do please pm me.. thnx...

    do you have a XP disk? then you can repair it, and the passwords will reset.

    yes i do have my system disk for xp.

    well, pop it in, boot with it, and choose a repair install
