When you think about it, it is being donated to the people of this area. Not everyone is rich and it might bring a smile to a poor childs face at christmas. I know you probably mean an African donation thing but same difference.

Lucky sons of a dogs

Instead of sitting on your ass and waiting for answers, do some research.

    $400 = 467.880 Canadian Dollars -
    http://www.xe.com/ucc/

    Alberta's 2001 Population - 2,974,807
Now remember, this is total. It does not exclude living there under 3 years.
Let's just assume that the Province's new found money is dollars, for educational purposes. Don't want kiddies running around crying do we?

29,318,000,000,000 Dollars. (correct me if im wrong, then fix my math :))

    2,974,807 citizens x $400.00 = 1,189,922,800 Dollars.

    $29,318,000,000,000 - $1,189,922,800 = $29,316,810,077,200

As you can see, this is VERY little money being sent to the people. More of a gesture, than financial support.

If somebody wants to make this all canadian currency, use that link I provided, and do the same thing, with my formula.
