Is My Computer Good Enoght For Hardcore Gaming?

    Ok i want to know if i have a good enoght computer for harecore gaming
    my computer is a COMPAQ Presario

    Now heres the new spec.'s
    Hard drive - 250 GB
    RAM - 512 MB - upgradeing to double that soon
    GFX Card - Geforce 6200 OC with 256 MB
    AMD Athlon 64 processor - 3400+ MhZ
    DVD+RW/CD-RW with lightscrible
    Basic CD-ROM
    and soon to come ill be getting a good sound card

    so what u think is it good enoght?

    almost, you will need at leat 1gb ram and a better video card. Get a x800GTO.

    I've only got an nividia 5200 and that serves me well enough for my spouts of hrardcore gaming. More ram will help, and a dvd drive will help to.

    yes you're fine all around. another 512 mb ram stick would do you well, but you're still very capable

    i was wondering the same thing how the hell does a better DVD drive help your gaming capabilities??

    My bad, i didn't see the dvd drive on the specs. DVD drives are wvery hand for games that come on discs and dvd's (like, you can choose either one). if Halflife 2 came on a DVD i would have been happier than dealing with 5 discs.

    lol i lost all my half life 2 discs. luckily after you register your serial with valve you can just download everything onto your computer

    personally myself if u were going to be buying all the latest games i would upgrade graphics card but if u dont intend to play on highest settings then ur all fine just get another stick of 512mb RAM and you'll be set ^_^ .

    Yeah! You should be fine. I have alot less than that and i can do some hardcore gaming! I have blown hardware before becuase of games though...
