G'day guys i bought a new slimline PS2 yesterday and i want to get it online ive got an ethernet cable that i can plug into my modem and into the back of the PS2 but after that i get completely lost please reply fast as im really excited about the prospect of playing against over people on my favourite console. Well I dont know how the slimline PS2 works, but if you had the older verison of the PS2 and had the network adapter it would of came with a setup disc. You can still set your console up for online play though with any online game, just go to the setup option before you log online, it should bring everything up. Its really easy to setup too, just put everything to automatic, plug in your ethernet cord, and test your connection. If you still have problems then you might want to consider heading over to the official Playstation website for help, they have a tutorial on setting you up. ^_^ I remember the time when I first ordered my network adapter, I even pre-ordered the damn thing 'cause I was so excited! I didn't really get online until like a year later though 'cause I had narrowband connection, 56k is a mother----er! But when I got broadband it was all said and done, I practically lived online with my PS2. Made me happy!
well i have a slim one and it came with a disc... socom 2 has a set up built in i know that FOR SURE so go rent that
