AGP came out about 5 years ago, that was the in hight speed thing, now pci express is out, that is even faster. I prefer nvidia because i know they work, my ati fused itself to it's slot.
he cannot use either. dells dont come with agp or pci-e. He has to get pci so his best would be a 5700 or something along those lines.
save up money to buy a new pc. but if you cant get the 5700 and it will at least play doom and half life 2.
Whoops forgot about my topic.. Let's see let me break this down. This is a new computer.. You got a link to this 5700 you're speaking of? I'll take a look to make sure of that when I get home from school tomorrow. Can I get a link to this 5700 tho? Thanks for all the replies, helping much.
Double post.. But Bump.. Found this on ebay. <<CLICKME>> I checked on Dell's site to see what slots I had. It says for a dimension 3000 (mine), it has 3 PCI slots. Could I use that card from the link? Or can someone find me information on it? Thanks in advance.
and also you might want to buy a gig of ram or more, because the standards are rising that you have more memory
I'm thinking Battlefield 2 and CS: Source. If possible, Quake 4; but, I figure I'll need more RAM for that. Can someone check the link I posted a few posts before this and see if I could use it? It says Diamond ATi Radeon 256MB 9250 PCI.. yet it's only $70? Doesn't seem right, and there's no actual picture of the product.
