    AMD 64 3500
    2048 MB PC3200 400Mhz DDR RAM
    ASROCK 939A8X-M MOTHERBOARD

ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB (dont mind the card)
    200GB HDD

    Or

    PENT 4 3.2 GHZ
    2048 MB PC3200 400MHz DDR RAM
    ASROCK P4V88 MOTHERBOARD

ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB (dont mind the card)
    200GB HDD

Difference here is the processor from Pentium 4 to AMD and the motherboards. I know the card is dated and I wanna upgrade that asap, but i dont really know to what. maybe I was thinking x850xt? What do u people recommend? B)

Look carefully and tell me which system u think is better. remember this is for a gaming PC ^_^

AMD>>>>>>>>>>pentium by far far far for anything. it blows it away totally. get the first one. but the graphics card will only be able to play sertain games tbh. the best gfx card ( well one of the best for gaming etc) is the ati radeon 800. about 400 dollors but worth it

Yeah I thought AMD was better, like the Asus mobo but why isn't it good? If its not then what should be better instead?

And if u can read that says 2GB of RAM, 400mhz isn't even a big issue. you could say the same thing for corsair ram

No he said AMD > P4 but what card do ya'll recommend? I want a very very very good and powerful card if not the high-end ones. It doesn't fit PCI-E but if I want I could go for one, but I need the best AGP card and one that will work with that setup, any ideas?

I'm scrapping both those systems. Instead I'm going for:

    AMD ATHLON 64 4000+
    1048 MB PC3200 DDR RAM
    ASUSROCK 939 MOTHERBOARD
    GeForce 6800GT 256MB PCI-E
    200GB HDD

Which I can upgrade RAM and video card when I need to...
