Imageready was made before quicktime 7 came out, and since they changed the infrastructre of Quicktime without updating the Imageready code; there must be some variables or something missing. I'm not sure exactly why they don't work together, but I know that it is due to updating.

You see this everywhere; when two programs work off eachother; or any two pieces of code, and one is updated, it is very likely for something to go haywire.

Imageready uses the Quicktime codec of .mov, so when quicktime was updated, imageready broke.

BTW, you can only open .mov files in imageready...not .avi, .mpg, .rofl. Only .mov.

Are you trying to make gifs or actual movies? Because I would agree with uninstalling and and reinstalling it... IF you are trying to make gifs use Flash 8

I'm sorry, I just realized this was about CS2. I don't know about CS2, just CS, so you may have imported MPEGS. I know that CS was only for .mov.
