Like I said in another topic like this. A few very simple principles govern all phenomina. These principles determine the properties that atoms exibit when they do certain things i.e. the way an electron revolves around the nucleus determines what color the atom exibits when light strikes it. What determines these properties? Mere chance? No I believe God determined these properties. Matter cannot come from nothing, but it has been proven that matter = energy. Where does this energy come from? Who, if there was a who, created this energy? Some might say that it is God.

If I was like anything, I am like a deist. Except that insted of believe that God created the Universe and left it, not caring about the outcome of the universe. I believe he created the universe and doesn't interfere with it directly because that would violate his principle. He left the universe to 'evolve' according to the principles, but I believe that he does care about the outcome of the universe.

This may be the 10th time I've said this but, God didn't come from anything. He always was. Why is it so hard to believe. Just because you've never heard of anyone "always being". If we all used this train of thought, we'd spend the rest of our lives questioning everything. Just because you've never seen it or heard it happen, doesn't mean it can't. I've never heard of someone dying from a toothpick, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen.

    1. Everything which has a beginning has a cause.1
    2. The universe has a beginning.
    3. Therefore the universe has a cause.

God, as creator of time, is outside of time. Since therefore He has no beginning in time, He has always existed, so doesn’t need a cause. So, God, unlike the universe, had no beginning, so doesn’t need a cause.

I agree. The human mind cannot fathom infinity. That is why we try to rationalize what we percieve as unexplained and infinite. I believe that God created the universe and is constantly intervening. I am a firm believer in divine intervention. He gave us free will to choose what we may, but he has consequences in mind for every choice we make. He is not some neutral overseer. He is active in our everyday lives. "Whenever two or more of you gather in My name, i will be there with you." Im not sure if thats word for word, but thats what Jesus said and that proves to me that God is active in our universe. he created the superatom that created out universe. He also created atoms and energy. Our most modern theory is that matter is simply energy slowed to under the speed of light. That means that if matter is accelerated to the speed of light it becomes energy. I find this very interesting, because it limits human travel because we cannot travel at the speed of light.

my beleif system is a bit removed from that BJs, though I do beleive God created existence, i highly doubt it was in such a manner, I see it being ass being beyond human comprehension.

wow Im glad you said that, I was afraid this was evolving into a discussion to prove that because all things propositionally have a beginning and end and therefore god could not exist, that would be perplexing...
