go off topic and talk about how we never landed on the moon, and the reaosn being we had to beat the ussr during that era. and then talk about how we are militarizing space with super weapons that affect weather patterns and can destroy the planet with the push of a big red button. you'll get an A, I promise.

Why the hell can't you use encyclopedia's they are a source and an accurate one. Better than some website made by some average joe. I would debate that with your teacher. They are a completely legitimate source. Anyways, I would probobly do origin-present-land mark events type of paper.
Trust me I feel the same way. On some levels I can understand ruling out Wikipedia due to the fact it is wiki, though heavily moderated. I just don't see why we can't use regular encyclopedia. Oh well.
