i couldn't find any other forum appropriate enough to post this so i just posted it here. i am trying to convert a ripped dvd file to .mp4 (or something) to put it on my psp but when i go to "encode" the thing (which is what i think i am supposed to do). it starts to copy it at the rate at which the movie plays. i did this on the xilisoft program. on the ImTOO program on the trial version it asked for a password to confirm i had bought the program which made little sense to me. can anyone tell me of a comprehensive, fast, hassle free, FREE program to help me convert these files? i have seen programs in the shops but they cost an upwards of €30 which i just can't be arsed to fork out right now.
