Ok Im working on a signature that has a Night Vision effect and I want to have it look like the googles are locking on to the target by having some black lines moving around and the locking on. Is there any way I can do this. I have Photoshop 7 and Image Ready but Im not sure how to make the lines not all jumpy and such. I want the lines to start in the middle and then end up on the guy on the lefts head as though its locking on

Included is the JPG of what Im working on

I looked at the other forum descriptions and none seemed to fit plus Im not requesting a sig or advertsing I just need some help

For reference something like from picture one scrolling to picture two

    Picture One

it then scrolls around and acts like it looks on as shown in picture 2

The idea is it doesnt just go right there and locks on as I said in my first post please read before replying

I want it to act like its searching by having the lines scroll to find the target

I used a variation of this tutorial http://s7.invisionfree.com/Art_of_Creation...hp?showtopic=47

to come up with these (anims a little jerky - I only spent 10 mins on each)

I created a new layer and used the SINGLE ROW MARQUEE TOOL plus a 1 pixel stroke to create the Horizontal part of the crosshair. Then similarly created another layer and used the SINGLE COLUMN MARQUEE TOOL plus stroke to create the vertical part.

Jumped over to IMAGEREADY and simply moved the Vertical and Horizontal layers ,making sure I held the shift key down. Then TWEENED between the old and new positions and repeated until done.

I'm sure you can do what you want to do in a similar way.

Apologies for posting a link off GR, just trying to help someone out :)
