so what your saying maynard/uv soaked is that this sig isnt a photomunip and will be disqualified?

Ermmm ... guys a photo manip is not a wallpaper with a blur on set to overlay. *cough* *cough*

 

exactly or brushes stamped on it doesn't make it a phot manip aswell

i personally think this weeks sotw sux for most ppl here just do gausian blur madness

That's gonna be up to the judges. I think since it's game art (I'm pretty sure it is anyway), that it might not count, even though it is a landscape. Might want to PM a Mod and ask first.

Ok just as others have said a PHOTOmaipulation is a manipulation of PHOTOGRAPHS! A render is not a PHOTOGRAPH. A wallpaper is not a PHOTOGRAPH.

I was also really looking forward to the no render sig of the week... It's the one decent sig of the week because it actually cause people to be creative and unique and cuts out trends and other things that make other sig of the weeks so bland... this IMHO is one of the worst sig of the weeks because the definition of what a PHOTOmanipulation is on this is site is VERY VERY poor. I hope the person running this sig of the week re-edits the rules or something to mention a PHOTOmanipulation consists of PHOTOgraphs and PHOTOgraphs only... any sig that has renders in it should really be dq'd but I doubt this will happen which again is what makes this a terrible choice for a sig of the week.

in order for it to be a photomanip, it has to be a PHOTO.

it's not a rendermanip or a sigmanip

I beg to differ... so long as the render isn't the main focus of the piece, it doesn't matter. And Hellknight and MT are absolutely correct in the fact it must include a PHOTOGRAPH. I'm editing the rules with that part now.

If your entry does not contain a PHOTOGRAPH for the basis of the image, it will be disqualified

Wallpaper, and render manips do not count.
