Yes, we have our own computer here, some use Win XP other use Vista. Its up to yourself what you want to use.
Vista is only in BETA............... [/b][/quote] This means you can use it. if you want but its full of bugs.
I dont see much point in rushing out to get vista when it appears, not least because of the bugs and the price, but because do you really need it? And yes it does look nice (similar to a mac i hear..) but i dont think theres anything essential in it you would need. I have also heard you can boost computer performance with it by using a pen drive. Is this true? It could be useful
if you grab styleXP or Windowsblinds, there are some themes that look alot like Vista, without the high tech stuff...
^but they can slow down your pc. Anyways Sp3 will be released before vista is released to make improvements to xp so there will be no need to switch. There are rumours xp may even get an upgrade so as to use the aero glass stuff.
I wouldn't really worry about this right now. With Vista still decently far from release, you'll have plenty of time to get some cash together and upgrade. Also I wouldn't recommend upgrading to a brand new OS right after release. Wait for a bit until the bugs and weaknesses are taken care of, it's a smarter idea.
Vista is gonna be a reasource hog and it is trying to take advantage of all the latest hardware since hardware comes out a lot soon before software even uses it, like when 64 bit processors came out so program even used that but Windows came out with a 64 bit edition which I could use but they don't have a 64 bit Media Center so I'm not going to.
I really think this is a load of Bull$h17, but then again I know nothing about it...I really think it will be very well done and I will get it.
