Monitor Flashing

    my monitor flashes in like every 2 sec it gets reallz annoying
    PC specs:
    1 gb of ram
    amd athlon 3200+
    200 gb of hard drive
    ati radeon 9800

    i will give a +rep if u fix my prob

    have you tested another monitor on your gfx card?

    it's either your card or your monitor.

    if it's the sound card, try re-installing the drivers.

    if it's the monitor, get a bew one.

    always check to make sure your cables are nice and snug..


    edit: you can also try reseeding the card, sometimes it may get pulled out a little bit.

    i just pulled the cable out and back on again
    now it works kinda

    aw ---- its flashing again it appears in like every5 sec i am so desperate atm anybody help?

    are the speakers too close to the moniter lol? that can cause the moniter to flicker sometimes. the ones at my school do that when i put a speaker on them :)

    Try chaging your refresh rate. And is this an old monitor¿ a new one¿ You get a new graphics card and started doing this¿

    no i have this comp for like 6 months and the monitor is and iiyama flat screen aka LCD monitor

    try degausing (might not be the right word)

    EDIT: your on an LCD...nvm

    Try setting your refresh rate up higher, connect another monitor up to your video card to see if it is that. If it still flickers then you need a new video card, if it doesn't you need a new monitor. Either one of them has to be broken or is about to brake.

    i figured out what the prob is.its the adapater that is connected to ma monitor.It has a short circuit the electrical i mean.I have a lil green light on the adapter and it goes of for like 1/10 of a sec and thats the time when the monitor flashes so i guess i just need to replace the adapter and it will be fine

    dude ur spammin 2 and yea check all ur connections and try to reinstall ur video card
