They are both reasons for users not being able to delete their own posts.

The first quote I agree with, but vBulletin however has a function which allows the user to delete only his/her post and when that is done, it's also taken away from his/her post count.

That's if you guys decide to switch to vBulletin which I don't recommend because although it has these features, it also has crappy service and quality.

Well you say they can delete posts of rips.. true. How about a way for ALL deleted posts to go to a quarintine section. Unviewable by all except global mods and admins... the section gets no post increase or credit increase. THat way when they delete that post, they lost the post count and the credit earned. So they cant make 20 posts delete all, and redo for credits/posts. So if somebody accuses of rip and they delete it... an admin or mod can check the quarintine section to see if its true.

Hell no :( I would screw everything up if I tried.... since your the IPB god and all... you do it!!! *points finger* But maybe it's a downloadable feature? Im GUESSING that you can redirect a delete post action to move post to a new section of forum, and this sections acces levels only by mods and admin <-- that i no u can do, also no post/credit increase

Yes, there is a 'trash can' in IPB V2, but i believe its tied in with pin/unpin your topics, and all the other moderator actions. Its not 'seperate'

Basically what you guys need to do is try to find the coding for that feature in vBulletin and somehow change it fit IPB, so it works with no problems.
