Aim Virus

    Yea me being dumb I was making a sig and got the virus while i was talking to a friend.....
    I knew it was it in a second so I just delted aim off my comp. Then I downloaded aim back and like 20 mins after getting it agian the virus came back.IS there any way I can remove if off my comp for good?

    ANTIVIRUS!!!!!!

    look up on the pinned thread named "Free software". there are several AVs on there...

    Oh man! There's an AIM Virus? I have to keep a look out. :blink:

    Just dont click on random links from your friends or anybody..

    a big hint on a link would be like picturename.jpg.exe

    Just have it so it prompts you before downloading anything

    yeah my friend got one. it screwed up his computer soo bad. google the virus and im sure u can find a way to get rid of it

    yea when i got the Aim Virus AVG wouldnt pick up on it for some reason i had to go to some website and DL a aimvirus fix

    you guys have to understand these things....let me explain

    If you get a link and it doesnt end in a valid domain name dont click it.

    If your going to accept files, only accept them if you REALLY trust the person your getting them from, make sure you check it first with an antivirus.

    and yea just use common sense. A good way is to run an antivirus.

    As soon as its done checking for viruses just get the folder name and go to Start >> Run, type in command

    when the box comes up type in

    del.(file name from antivirus)

    example

    del.C:/stealthmastersexample.exe

    and press enter, after your done use my PC Forcer and click Force Restart, and youll be virus free.

    ^^DUH...

    lol, I check every single file when i download before i open it. it takes two seconds to make sure you are safe...

    ^yep, or any other free IM program I have in my Free Software list...
