I don't think someone would put a bunch of pop up ads on here because thats one of the nice things about this site and it would slow it down as well

in a dollar amount, $5000-10,000 I doubt anyone would buy llama ou though.

actually, it last only 5 years, 1 $ per year, you might as well consider ti a one time thing though...

anyway, GR costa about 100$ a month to set up and mantain(servers liscences other stuff etc.)GR as we know it is what, 15 months old as well ... lets assume some bought/got prem membership for free or out of the shop or got it through cheeky in bulk... $3750 ok

    15months*$100/month= $1500

-1500+3750= 2250 GR does have some revenue from ads as well. I'm just saing GR isn't costing llama anthing, though that number is likely off bit as there are other hidden fees everywhere.

If I have my sources right here is a rough estimate. And I'm assuming GR started in '04 either that or that was the last time he updated his hosting plan.

Domain name - .com .net. org .info -$8.88 year. He has this site rigistered for 4 years. 8.88*4 names*12 months *4 years= $1704.96

    Server - $90/ month *12 months * 4 years = $4,320.00

    IPB Liscence - $185.00

    VB Liscence - $160.00

Total = $6,369.96 for the 4 years he was registered for.

    ( Creation date: 18 Apr 2004 15:47:35
    Expiration date: 18 Apr 2008 15:47:35 )

    (-) Premium memberships: $3,835

    Total = $2534.96

I'm pretty sure I did that right. If you wanna verify, go for it.

EDIT: If I didn't get it right this time, then... screw it :P

llama says he spends 90$ a month though, not 400... aslo 400*12*4 is a lot more than what you put.

    You people don't understand.

This has nothing to do with profit, income, expenses, etc.

Just look at the site, look how many visitors it has.

Some people might want to buy the site just to advertise other websites they own such as businesses in order to increase profit. Its a good chance especially with all the hits this site gets.

As i said, the hosting plan is close to $200 now, since its been updated recently. $165 or $175 to be exact. Your missing alot of key things i know he has paid for, Truffle..but nice research.

I think GR would sell for quite alot!

With only the Google Ads on GR, he must recieve well over 15 dollars per day, which pasy well enough the server that GR is running on, all the extras are extra.

I think GR would easily sell for 150,000 dollars. Just the word spreading about GR is worth around 90 % of the forums, people talk to other people about it, so RICH people would be ready to offer quite alot for big advertising such as GR.

You guys, this site wouldn't sell for $150,000. No matter how popular it is. The most you could probably get out of it is maybe around $10,000, depending on who buys it.

Also, the point of the thread was to figure out how much it is WORTH, not to figure out how much it would sell for. Those could be 2 way different things.
