Hey, I was just wondering why everyone refers to a "render" as a render. They should really be called cut outs, because they are cut-outs of real renders.

A render would be a 3d object that has been made using a program such as 3ds max or c4d...so why does everyone insist on calling them renders? Am I missing something?
