Video Capture

anyone know of any free video capture programs??
not just like a free trial, but an actual free program.

 

try fraps ......i think nothings its free that u capture a video ......

 

click-now.net has an free version of fraps (an older version) but it is in .rar format, which i cant open for some reason. one of those windows comes up saying my computer does not recognize the file format.

i downloaded a thing called "Extract Now" instead of WinRar, because it is free. cnet gave it good ratings, so why not? i'll say if the old version of fraps is any good hold on...

 

fraps is pretty confusing, if someone would tell me how to use it it'll be greatly appreciated

 

yea, i cant figure out how to capture video . someone plz explain. the hotkey doesn't seem to work

 

I've only been able to get Fraps to work while in a game...that's it...

 

All you're gonna find are free trials dude. IF you want more features then you do gotta pay.

Look up these programs.

-Fraps : I used it before for ingame recording, it's alright.
-Planet Game Cam : Never tried it but ppl tell me it's as good if not, better then Fraps.
-Camtasia : I used it for desktop recording and it's superb. Love the program.

 

a couple things-
-it seems as if fraps doesn't consider runescape a game, i tried "robot rage" and it worked tho. but i don't really care about robot rage, that was just to see what the problem was
-dled the free version of camtasia, but when i start it recording, my comp lags every second, like the capture, and what im actually seeing, is all broken up

 

or use SnagIt7 .... very simple and amazing program

snagit works pretty good for me... but how do u change the frames per second? its set at a mere 5 frames per second now . however, the video is better than the video i get on camtasia. idk why...
