    ive done everything i can:
    -disable windows firewall
-spyware & adware & virus checks
-allow everything to pass through the router firewall
    -remove router filters
-activate all port forwarding on router
    -yell at my computer
-threaten to throw it out the window

i did all that and still, my ping in cod spikes 500+, page loading, downloading, and uploading on the internet is slow, or nonexistant for uploading (images, documents, etc).
its taking me over an hour to dl a 252 mb update for world of warcraft it would have taken 30 minutes to download the map that was played on the cod server i play at yesterday (towndefense or something) it was transmiting at 7/kb or slower! usualy it can go up past 70....

My plea: Can anyone help me, give me directions or simply tell me what the bloody hell is wrong!

PS: its been like this since i reformated.... i think some settings changed somewhere, cause router was fine before.

Also, in direct correspondance (im sure of it), my firefox gets screwed up!!:
m so goddamn pissed. everything about my computer is ****ed nowadays..

i was opening another firefox window, and it said: select a user.. so i clicked on default and it said it was being used. so i went to create.... and now i cant bloody go back! i lost all my bookmarks, my quickbar links, and all. WTF am i supose to do, i tryed uninstalling and saving the leftover files, but nothing yet. (still downloading the instaler to instal it back)

whos an expert at this? some of those bookmarks where real important......

The problems started right after i reformated it. so system restore wont work.

im sure it has to be something with my computer, because im the second computer on my home network. my other computer has no problems whatsoever. il explain: icant upload any of my new sigs, but i can transfer them down my network to my other computer, upload it from there, and then send the link back up.

hmm yeah i noticed it was strange a month ago. Its when it started, but it was WAY less noticable then.

BTW do you meen clean the inside? or the files & all?

for that connection speed site, i got 91/kbsec for NY and 101/kbsec for San Fran. Im in Toronto, Ontario (canada) so you decide how good that is.
*btw* the place i was downloading the map for my game is in scotland....
also note this is the connection info to san fran...:
    Last Result:
Download Speed: 101 kbps (12.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1 kbps (0.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
check out the upload speed...... that is why i cant upload images & etc, but why is the upload speed that slow?

Are you sure you didn't miss anything to be reinstalled when you formatted.

It could also be the server right now too...
