Ok, i have a forum, and my friend has a forum... WE BOTH RUN ON IPB 2.0.4 Anyways, I was wondering if it were possible to make it so that when a user signs up on onesite, they are really signing up for both sites, so they dont have to register 2 times.
Um it might not be possible because it is two different SQL databases. If the sites ran off the same one for the members which I know is possible to have two run off of one database and use some of the same tables for both and different ones for others but I am not sure if this is possible.
because if we combine both sites the forun lists will be to long.... It is possible im pretty sure.... I just have to make it so that there is 1 table that is the same always on both sites
Okay then you need to put them in the same SQL database and make the members with the same prefix and the forums and stuff with different ones then you need to tell the forum whos members has the different prefix then the forums and stuff what to look for it requires a lot of modding of the forum for this to be possible.
or you could probably get a script or something written for this... though I dont know who would do that for you.
A script probably would be much easier then what I am thinking of. ----------- The script would need to take the members from the one forum and put them into the other SQL database.
You might be able to find someone to write the script, but I honestly think that it would be easier to combine the forums. Just cut out the unnecessary stuff
M... they are completely different forums... like take a look... Mine: http://www.forum.immortalaces.com Friends: http://www.forums.critics-forum.co.uk
