Border Effect

I would like to know how to do the ant border style, its similar to when you select ctrl+a only without the animation effect. Ive seen some sigs on here with these borders so hopefully those members can help, thanks.

 

One way is to take a screen shot and then crop the sig out

atleast you will have the "marker" border.

 

you can also make a 5 px line or something, and make a patter with it.
then erase the inside of the layer filled with that pattern
