im confused...after the "make selection" part, i get lost. when he says "delete the shape", im assuming that he means "delete the vector mask"? because i only have three options when i right click on the shape, "disable vector mask, delete vector mask, and rasterize vector mask..." when i pick "delete vector mask", then hit delete on my keyboard, it says "could not complete your request because the content of the layer is not directly editable" could someone help me by being really specific on what to do? thanks.

[/b][/quote] Okay well first make the selection using the pen tool. Now when you're finished drawing th line around the render with the pen tool right click inside the selection and click the "Make selection" button. Now the render should be selected. Then just press CTR+J to duplicate the selection on a new layer. Then delete the original one and save the render as PNG. Hope that helped ^_^
