Installing Fans

    Can some please post some sort of guide which may show me the basics for installing a fan. NOT a whole cooling unit. Just the fan

    Need to be more specific there are many fans:

    Back fans
    Side fans
    Processor fans
    Front fans

    If u tell me the type of fan ill start looking for one

    I need to install them for a friends for some moolay! :P

    you screw it on, plug in the power, and it's done. doesn't take a genious to do this....

    Not everyone is a wizard :P


    Okay basically, you take the case and open it up. Then you put the fan where it goes and screw it in, then you take the power cord and plug it into the power supply. Then you put the case back together and plug it into the wall. Then you turn it on (It should be off while installing the fan). And you should now have a working fan :)

    Errm.... I'll go with, I've missed all this week due to sickness so far so my mom said screw it and let me stay home today for "extra rest"

    some units run off of the mobo though, they have rather odd sized pins, similar to CPU fans...

    But sidemount fans usually don't run off the mobo from my experience. Most of them go from the powersupply, and if it does run from the MOBO it will definately have a unique looking pin and he should just have to look around for it.
