Lost you there, but I think what you mean is that your fonts make your computer run very slowly. Each time you start your computer it has to load each font file. So I would delete the ones that I don't use. In addittion, your computer may be slow because of other things, such as spyware, too many temporary internet files, or other programs. You didn't really give any specs on your computer, so unless you give more info then there really is no way to truly tell what is going on with your computer.

Seriously though... delete at least half of those fonts. They will indeed slow you down majorly, because they are considered part of your system resources, and they have to load every time the computer is turned on or a program is opened.

Also, as GbP mentioned... spyware and adware could be the culprit also. Tell us your specs, and whether not you've tried running any antivirus or spyware/adware removers.

Also 8000 fonts is WAY over the advised limit. I'd suggest for you to delete EVERY font as that would be the only way to make your computer faster and then reinstall all the fonts that came with windows and choose out the fonts you really want, not just ok i'll have that one, you have to like it alot to keep it.

Try to keep 1500 font or less, otherwise, you'll have a VERY slow computer, I'm trying to delete alot of my 5000...

first off, you dont need that many fonts. I would move all those fonts out, and then reload all the default fonts in there. Any fonts that you dont like that are default, delete. After that, pick out fonts from the original that you wont really need or are look the same basically.
