Screen Resolution Help

    k, what is the model of your card?

    example: Geforce FX 5500

    i got nothing from your above posts...

    you could also try system restoring back to when it worked correctly

    grrr, do you have the box to the card, or look for a label on the card, geez..

    It was a refurbished computer so I don't know if we had a card that came with it...sorry for causing u all this trouble

    open the computer and look at the gfx card. there should be a label on it telling you all you need to know

    Did you get a disk with GFX drivers with your comp? if so, run those...

    Also go to Control Panel>System>Hardware Devices>Graphics Device and make sure it says this device is working correctly...

    No i didn't get a disk with gfx drivers with the comp and i'm using xp, couldn't find graphic devices

    display adapter: NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64

    it seems to be working fine...there is no yellow exclamation point near it

    I downloaded the file and then ran it...near completion it gave me this error :(

    An error occurred while launching the setup. (0x80040707)

    did you close the setup all the way? ctrl+alt+del it and see if its still running in background...

    Yes I did and after I installed the display adapted it asked to restart and so I did and my screen is still the same as before...nothing has changed
