    Murderer or Hero?

For those of you who dont know who Che Guevara is, Hes the guy you find all these little preps wearing on their shirts (and they have no idea who he is)

Known as a famous revolutionist but thought as a murderer and bad person by others....Any of you know about him? Have any thoughts?

He was a revolutionary in terms of government for Cuba but it's hard to describe if he is a murderer or leader.

Also for those of you who don't know who he is,

i would say hero, because if he was a real murderer then he wouldnt be on t-shirts and posters and stuff lol. but really, if the people you kill die for a good reason i would say your a hero. if they died for no reason thats a murderer.

Che was all against materialism, yet he's used by corpratre enterprises to gain money... makes me sick

I personally think the man was brilliant, call him a murderer, but so is every leader or revolutionist in history.

I always wondered who he was...seen too many of those Hollister shirts with him on the front.

Seems like Hitler: Hero to some, murderer to others.

It depends on whose perspective you look at it. There is no doubting he was a very intellegent person that living and dying by his principles. We can all probobly learn a few things fabout ourselves by understanding him and his life.

You cant call him a murderer... Every revolutionist (Lenin, Trotsky, Washington etc.) Were murderers. He fought for what he believed in, and to me that takes a lot of courage.

Cant call him a failure, cause Cuba is one of the last standing Communistic Countries there is...

"Go ahead, Shoot, your only killing a man..."
His supposedly last words, which are brilliant I think, cuase its true, you may kill a man, but your not killing his spirit, nor are you killing what he believes in

Did anyone see the motocycle diaries?

Great movie, in my opinion. Anyways, it's about a trip that he and his best friend make, where they travel up the South American continent. This is were he basically discovered his views, his way of thinking about life, and how people should be treated. His views were very idealistic, and socialist. Yes, he did help with the Cuban revolution, but I'm not sure whether Cuba is the country he would've wanted it to be. I mean, I doubt he would want all the military might that exists there. I think he liked the equality, socialist side of communism, as a lot of people do. But I'm sure he wouldn't like the execution of journalists for expressing their views, or the near total contol exercised by Castro.

    Just my 2 cents.

well, i dont know much about him, i saw the motorcycle diaries in spanish class and all...

but if he helped establish Cuba's communist power, why is he considered so great? like i mean i know he was intelligent, but isn't there a lot of suffering in Cuba? or am i just blinded by the American ideal...
