He guys, its me again, back with another problem with my PC. i disabled mcafee yesterday because my CPU was running at 100% and something called Mcshield.exe was taking up 99% of the CPU. but anyway, i disabled everyting (made no difference, CPU still at 100) but now i cannot enable it. i have enabled everything, but i cannot find where i have to enable "My Antihacker Index" it says its disabled, but i dont know where to enable it. can anyone help with the mcafee problem? and how to stop my CPU runing at 100 all the time? its making my PC slow. +creds if helped.
sounds like you have a virus called mcshield.exe It's probably called that in an attempt to get you to disable mcafree so it can further infest itself, which it likely has... use the standard adaware/sptware removal procedures. If you are truly hopeless, run>>msconfig will become a miracle to you. uninstall random things. that should do it.
MCshield.exe is a process from Mcafee. its something to do with my firewall i think. but the thing im more concerned about is enabling my antihcaker index right now. and ideas? theres no viruses or spyware that i know of no. i will scan.
