Well my friend you have asked the right question to the right person. If you want something light check out Element Fiberlights, other than that take a look over at CCS and get one of their catalouges, look for what you want and buy :)

Elements are light but they are also pretty weak. Good for starting out and way better than a kmart or walmart deck but if you want something worthwhile and not just getting it cause thats what all the posers get then go for AWS/Habitat.

Someone is overreacting. I said I'm not trying to sound c0cky, just trying to help this guy out. It's caled an opinion. Because you say Grind Kings are good doesn't make them good. I apologize that I have a different opinion than you.

As far as deck sizes, you named the common sizes. people don't tend to stray too far from that. 7.5 is about as small as people will normally get.

Next time you reply, try not to be a complete tool. We have different opinions, you aren't god, get over yourself.

That pretty much sums it up. DEATH TO POSERS!! Ever seen a kid scratching his new bam deck on the curb to imitate the look of useage? Ever seen em cut up their laces with a blade for the same reason? Ever see how they do it just for the chicks and not for the sake of actually skateboarding?

discombobulate the only reason stott was acting defensive is because you are questioning the fact that he is sponsored, i suppose in an act of jealousy.

KillerGuns, go to your local skateshop and talk to the guys there they always have good opinions. Be sure to stand on the deck before you get it to make sure it feels proper.

Yes, I am jealous of someone on the internet.

I don't care at all. I just think it is obvious he isn't sponsored by what he is saying. Just my opinion though. I could easily be wrong. My first post was kind of dumb, so it's understandable that I look like an idiot right now. I know a lot about skating, and what he is saying does not at all fit what a sponsored skater would say.

    what doesn't fit?

someone who is light should get light trucks

g6's are the lightest you can buy (at least they were the lightest when i was seriously into skating)

someone new is not going to be grinding frequently, therefore they can overlook durability in a truck.

stop saying that decks only come in a small amount of sizes i've seen some as low as 7.25 and higher than 8.5

    i said in between 7.7-7.8

.... you're a newb, probably a poser, and you earned yourself a -rep for the asinine posts

sounds like me when i was 14, except I was more like, you have a featherlite deck?
    have blackpanthers?
    ventures...

I had no idea what the hell i was getting just based on what was recomended and my desire to have a "cool" element deck. That deck is a piece of ---- now.

Get an Element deck. I'm short and light and I find them easiest to do street tricks on. :)

Yes, I'm well aware of how large/small you can get a board, but like I said, you named the common sizes. Grind Kings are not the lightest trucks I have ever used. Ventures probably are. Although I'll admit to never using G6's because the two other sets of Grind Kings I used were worthless.

Oh and I'm sure I'm a real poser. It's not as if I skated for a solid 8 years. That's poser material. As far as a newb, a newb to what? Definately not skating. And the -rep, that's wonderful. I don't care, it's an internet message board. Just because you spend so much time on here to be able to do rep, go ahead and do it. It apparently makes you feel good and important.

I'm done. Go ahead and reply, I don't care. Supposedly I look stupid already, so I'll stop posting in this thread.
