Unblocking A Port

    I was wondering if somebody can help me out by telling me how to unblock Port 5900

    I have

    Windows XP Home
    Service Pack 2
    SureWest DSL

    Nope unless the dsl modem has a built in router

    put i this - 192.168.0.1
    then put in your username and password you set on your modem when you set it up, if you didnt put a password on it will be something like username:admin, password:password.

    Then go to advanced settings, locate port forwarding and put in the port you want unblocked.

    im having the same problem but, im coming from a router like my connection is branched from arouter do i have to go onto my moms pc or can i do it on mine?

    You should be able to open ports on your router settings
