Alright guys im going to Get a new Skate board... I was wondering what you guys would Reccomend.. I Got a K-Mart board at the moment Well I need a Board that will be under 150 and I can do Tricks... I need a light board though That i can ollie high and Can do tricks... Edit: Im 5 Foot 2 inches... About 130 in Weight! And Im A Street Skater... I hate Vert Skating And I Have a Show size of 10 and GROWING! *Mods if this is A Spamm Topic Im sorry for making it  *
how tall are you, how much do you weigh, and are you gonna be grinding on it? answer those questions first
Id say a popwar deck (carbon composite- really really hard to break) Independent trucks are heavy so id say destructo mids, For bearings the Bone swiss bearings or Red/black bone bearings. If you are skating street just get smaller wheels and larger if you are skating vert.
I'd say flip is fairly good in terms of decks though i have heard good hings about popwar. for trucks I'd suggest venture lights and reds bones for bearings. 50:deck 20:trucks 20:wheels 15:bearings about 105$ for a pretty good board
ok don't listen to any of these people above me. i used to be sponsored and stuff by local skate shops if you're under 5'6" you should probably look into mini skateboards element makes the best if you're taller than that you are gonna wanna go with alien workshop they have the best concavity of any deck producer. don't even look at graphics. get 7.7-7.8 inches wide whichever feels best. as for the length get around 30-32 for trucks, DO NOT BUY INDEPENDENT that's honestly horrible advice they're heavy and they suck. get grindking g6's, they're very very very light, and you won't break them if you don't do serious grinding bearings: bones swiss, they're really is nothing that compares wheels don't matter which brand. anyone who recommends a specific brand in a wheel is more than likely a poser. just get a hard wheel, make sure the size is between 50 and 54. have fun. there are a lot of posers in the world of skateboarding. you can usually identify them by their volcom shirts, unscraped skate shoes, any interest in punk rock music and/or emo. 9/10 skaters who listen to punk are posers. and now i leave you with my double heelflip
Stott pretty much covered what I was going to say. Alien Workshop is a really good deck with alot of durability and pop. Habitat is also good, and yes go with grindkings, they are very very durable and light. Good Job stott, I like that set up...
dude i have a board id be willing to sell to u for a great price it is a Blind deck destructo trucks spitfire wheels there is hardly any wear or tear on it becuase it is new and then i just kinda quit skating PM me an offer if you are interested...i can be reasonable the total cost of my board was around 130
my first deck was an element feather light, it hasn't held up very well... I have a friend who was sponsored(fell while doing a trey flip down a 12 stair, it ended his "career") and he had been using a flip deck, from what I see, they are fairly strong for what you get. Grindking trucks though... I will have to look into those, i always just used venture lights, I like them for some odd reason, probably can't take a ton of abuse. bones swiss though is out of his budget, who in their right mind would spend $100 on just bearings, dude ceramics are expensive and I have heard that they wear a bit faster(not that they aren't the best though but still, I have been perfectly happy with my Bones and they were about 15$) EDIT: I was wrong the ceramics don't wear out faster, they infact last a bit longer, I assumed they would because they have a higher abec rating(3rd party)... man is abec sucky
bones swiss are around 30-35 dollars i actually use titan ti-lite trucks right now i've had them forever, and they're incredibly light, and have been durable for me. i would not recommend them, however. two of my friends bought them after i did, and apparently they changed the design, they had this pin thing that did not hold up for either of them
dang kmart board how sweet is that haha i started off with a toys r us one myself haha, i stopped after a year since i wasn't too good. but my friends skate a lot or used to. Anyways... it's basiclly up to you, there are some boards that have some pop into it and others are good for flip tricks and such. since you said you wanted a light board... i always heard Element featherlight Boards are supposed to be light, but they're width is pretty small i believe. as for trucks.. if you want to save some money get ventures i believe they are 30sih for the pair. If you want high tech ones i'd go with the grindkings as the others have said. wheels whatever looks good to you i guess. Bearings if you want to go uber fast then i believe bone ceramics are you're best bet but those are like 100 i think or used to. Something still fast is the Bones Swiss Red's. Good luck and dont get hurt
It's called a king pin, being sponsored, you should know that. As far as what to get, it depends entirely on your style. It all depends on what you want to do. If you want to do a lot o flat, you don't want 54mm wheels, you want 50mm. You would also want Venture trucks for flat as well. If you are going to be hitting up a lot of rails, I'd go for Thunders, they are great. Better than worthless Grind King. As far as sizing for a deck, the "sponsored" skater here gave you about the only sizes you're going to get a deck in. You can get a twig (I think that's Elements mini) if you are smaller, if not, nobody here can help you out. Want to know why? Because, you didn't give enough information on your style. You need to be more specific. Be a little more specific and then you'll get some better advice. Not meaning to sound c0cky or anything, I just don't want anybody going out and spending 100$ on a new setup and it being awful for them.
