For those who are not aware of the nation of Israel, it was originally a plot of land owned by the British until 1948, when the land became known as its own nation, more accurately known as the nation of Israel. Because of the fact that Britain intended it to be a Jewish nation, conflict has broken out for God knows how long! First, you have the Palestinians claiming they own the land and trying to have wars to win it over, only to have themselves run away with their tails between their legs, courtesy of the Ariel Sharon. Now, we have Iran involved, their hard-headed president - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - goes saying some stupid anti-Israel speech about how Israel must be destroyed due to its lack of Muslim rule. Honestly, I'm sick of it! Everyone picks on Israel, and now, a nation who has the balls to cut back on the NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty, something banning nuclear weapons from being developed) goes and threatens the Holy Land itself, the nation that is known as the religious capital of the world. My point is this: What do you, the people of GR, have to say about Iran's theory that Israel does not deserve to exist, when it houses the world's largest religious capitals, just because it isnt Muslim-oriented?
Flame? Sorry, let me calm down there. Sorry once again. I wasnt trying to flame. I was just setting an example that the reason Iran is posing threat to Israel is because it lacked Muslim rule, the news and statistics say so. I never had an intention against the religion, just the theory behind Iran. Once again, I apoligize. EDIT: Oh! Or did you mean OTHERS flaming me for making the topic based on the whole religious concept?
ok well first of all ur facts are all wrong britian didnt own isreal isreal had land then they took the gaza strip from pakistan and pakistan just took it back and they never ran away with there tails between there legs because they dont have tails... What do you, the people of GR, have to say about Iran's theory that Israel does not deserve to exist, when it houses the world's largest religious capitals, just because it isnt Muslim-oriented? <<i never heard one person say this and i dont inted this to be lame
I think the story goes back a bit before 1948... it's also an ethnic conflict as well as a religious one. My opinion though is that of relevence. jurusalem is never mentioned in the Koran it is repeatedly mentioned in the Bible and Torah and as far as I know, the Israelites are willing to share so long as civil war isn't breaking out on them, technically palestine is nothing more than a rebelling section, it's not a war between two nations, it is a civil war which hass been going on for a good 60 years which resulted in the insurgent side being officially recognized. actually, britain "owned" all of the middle east, after WW1, the ottoman empire was disolved and britain got most of what russia didn't absorb, israel included, pakistan didn't exist at the time and it doesn't border israel. http://www.bnbguidebook.com/_maps/middle-east.gif <-- see map, not THAT close
Wrong? I dont see how so. In the past projects, which put me in weeks worth of research, Britain owned the land known as Israel as well as the Gaza Strip and West Bank after the conquering of the Crusades. When Spain banned Jews and Muslims, while the Muslims worked with the Ottoman Empire, the Jews migrated back south and regrouped in Israel, lasting as nomads until the mid 20th century when Britain made Israel a seperate Jewish nation, but thats just my research.
thats like not wut i ment like the way u are saying it u made it sound like the pakistans were the terrorist wen its really the isrealites (spell check) ecause they took the gaza strip ad just recently gave it back tho i dont agree with pakistants actions
I dont mean to make this a two way debate, but I wanna clarify what I meant to say. When I said Palestine wanted the land back, they were claiming that by heretance and not political standards, that the land really belong to them, sparking bombings and such. They arent terrorists, just people with a different view.
I have no idea what is wrong with you dude, pakistan has almost no relation with Israel. Also, palestine has no real claim towards it in erms of inheritence, it's a few hundred miles away as far as I can tell they aren' actively seeking any of israels land nor are they trying to defend their land from israel, they are more concerned with recovering from that earthquake.
Really? Cause I heard the reason they are living so far from Israel in the first place was that they claim they were driven out. Anywways, I was referring to Palestine's past actions. I am aware they are busy with recovering from the earthquake.
palestine is far removed from pakistan, diferent places and cultures, as far as i know they have no serious beef with each other, may not like each other, but notat war.
Well, I never mentioned Pakistan, or to my knowledge. The only war-situation I can think of with Pakistan is Jamm and Kashmir, but thats a different topic.
*reflex did though... I found it quite odd. I personally try to sta out of the matter, what comes is what will come, the conflict has been going on for millenia i doubt it will change.
there right , israel isnt supposed to excist , the land origanly belonged to the palestenians and was called palestein , they took it by power , they tricked the palesteinians and took it away from them
