It's not Global warming, its a natural cycle, if we were around 1,000 years ago, it probably would be the same. EDIT: I should really read the whole topic before posting, should I?
Its okay Pat, at least you took notice that someone pointed out the actual reason of the hurricane...most of the people here skipped right past it and kept blaming it on global warming, lol.
Perhaps instead of bitching and complaining about all of these hurricanes and jumping the gun and saying it's global warming, you should read the post of one of the most intelligent people to reply to this so far. And the bible and ancient calendars are stupid. Both have no supporting evidence and can not be used as a reliable source for this type of information. Okay, I was reading something on the internet.. John Dutchman claims to be an astronomer at the Mount Wilson Observatory. He allegedly believes that a small star is passing through the Oort Cloud, the area surrounding the solar system where comets originate. He says that the gravitational pull of the star is forcing at least a third of all of the comets into the sun -- over one million. He predicts that the earth will be hit by from one to many hundreds of comets, ranging in size from 100 meters to near 600 miles in diameter. He expects the collisions to happen on 2009-AUG-29. If a comet hit the Earth, dont you think the Earth would blow up or something? That would be the end of the world right there.. I don't understand all of this.. There are too many pedictions made by all these religions.. I mean.. Are any of them true.. I just dont understand all this..
I don't get to feel the wrath of hurricanes here in northern arizona but I sure wish, for the ones that DO get hit, that they would stop. This is nuts!!
ppl say that stuff like huricanes will happen, then the US will eventually lose california in an earthquake, some scientists belive that a huge one will hit 2010
^ thats science, california is on a different techtonic plate, its on the pacific plate and the rest of the US is on the North american plate. california, LA will eventually move away from the rest of the US. thats inevitable. acording to science, the earthquake is overdue, its going to happens but fortelling it is still out of our reach.
