I have saved up enough money to put in a pretty nice system into my car. I have a 96 Ford escort. But im not exactly sure what I want. Im getting an Alpine Deck, and Alpine Speakers, and I was thinking of going with a rockford amp instead of an alpine. I wanted to connect an amp to at least my two rear speakers, and im not sure about my front ones. But i have a problem, my car was made to hold 5 1/4 inch speakers in the front, and 5 x 7 's in the back. I want to put 6 1/2s in the front and 6 x 9's in the back. Now, you can buy boxes to put the speakers in, but I heard that ----s with the quality of sound. Anyone ever bought an alpine setup like this? Any ideas or comments? Or even share you system?
boxes also sound different depending on how u place it into trunk like facing into or out of the car. it makes quite a bit of difference sounds like a good set up though
He really does know his stuff. Id reccommend him to anyone else with questions about car audio. Thanks man.
This is just my opinion, and you can take however you want it. Why not just keep saving money and get a new car? A 96 Escort isn't exactly a chick magnet...... If you catch my drift. Me personally I wouldnt spend any amount of money on a system for an escort, but thats just me. Anyway, the Alpine set up is all Good, but I would look into JL Audio. Thats what I have in my car (2000 Honda Accord) and I havent had any problems with them and they sound great!
