I have saved up enough money to put in a pretty nice system into my car. I have a 96 Ford escort. But im not exactly sure what I want. Im getting an Alpine Deck, and Alpine Speakers, and I was thinking of going with a rockford amp instead of an alpine. I wanted to connect an amp to at least my two rear speakers, and im not sure about my front ones. But i have a problem, my car was made to hold 5 1/4 inch speakers in the front, and 5 x 7 's in the back. I want to put 6 1/2s in the front and 6 x 9's in the back. Now, you can buy boxes to put the speakers in, but I heard that ----s with the quality of sound. Anyone ever bought an alpine setup like this? Any ideas or comments? Or even share you system?

boxes also sound different depending on how u place it into trunk like facing into or out of the car. it makes quite a bit of difference
sounds like a good set up though

This is just my opinion, and you can take however you want it. Why not just keep saving money and get a new car? A 96 Escort isn't exactly a chick magnet...... If you catch my drift.

Me personally I wouldnt spend any amount of money on a system for an escort, but thats just me. Anyway, the Alpine set up is all Good, but I would look into JL Audio. Thats what I have in my car (2000 Honda Accord) and I havent had any problems with them and they sound great!
