hey, all of a sudden when i tried to log on in windows xp, my comp froze. Well just like the taskbar at the bottom. My wallpaper shows, my mouse works and stuff but i cant click on anything and my taskbar is gone. Right now i had to do control alt delete to run these processes. Any help please. is this like a virus or something"?

RUn your windows in Safemode to correct the error - delete the unwanted processes (tasks) one by one.

Ok reboot your computer, when you get to the black screen before your windows starts loading, press f8, now a new screen pops up. Use your arrow keys to navigate to Safe Mode. there ya go.

When your task bar dissapears there's a much better and faster way to do it :P

Click CTRL + ALT + DELETE and go to -> file -> new task (run) and type in explorer.exe and hit enter.

    There we go :)

no right now im running everything through Ctrl Alt Delete.. like firefox.exe

i tried explore.exe and it worked for like 2 seconds but then it froze again. So now the taskbar is there, but i cant click on it at all.
this is so frustrating, thanks for the help though, i'll rep all of you once i can.
