Be aware that version 7 hasn't been offically released yet and still contains many bug and has many security issues-Gez MSN Messenger 7.0 BETA I decided to download it and I think that they have made it sooo much better. I have it and it is the best version out there of msn. Has many features that are very useful. I havnt found any bugs in it besides you may want to close it and reopen it every now and the other then that its great. I have been using it for about a month or two.
Just one little problem with this beta. It got soooooo many security holes that even someone that has never tried to hack someone before could hack anyone. If you still wants to use it but wants to be safe try downloading some patches on www.mess.be
That site isn't an official Microsoft site and it is Microsoft that would be posting patches for their program.
i d/l it and every time i would open it it would close by itself so i just kept 6.5 version since beta didnt work for me
I can assure you that there is NO spyware, Viruses, Adware, or anything of that type in 7.0. If Microsoft wanted to infect your computer with anything like that, they would do it with windows, since 70% of the computers in the world run it. Like I said up there, there are no infections comming with 7.0 "And Betas": Ok, lets see why betas would be a bad thing? Beta's are a way to test a product. Not to crash your computer or annoy your in any way. Ok. Lets see how many people there are working for microsoft. Alot. You think it's hard for them to make the product? Of course not. The use half of their team testing and patching their product. In the very early versions of MSN 7.0, there was a security hole in the "Winks". Before any hacker figured that out, MSN patched it up and sent out a new version. So you think that MSN depends on some third-party site to keep them alive? mess.be is only a site for plugins and such for MSN. MSN 7.0 might get screwed if you install too many or bad ones. This is one of the main reasons MSN 7.0 crashes. Other people make stuff for it that conficts with it and messes it up, it's not MSN's fault, but people blame them for it. MSN 7 BETA is a programs with bugs, (Or it would be public) so unless you want to risk using it, don't get it. With that said, MSN is doing their best to fix anything with the program, and is NOT trying to make anything bad happen to you with it. Don't shit about how bad it is, because guess what, MSN KNOWS there are bugs, thats why it isn't public. MSN 7 BETA was made for Beta Testers (Such as myself), and not the public. Although we think it is OK, there might still be bugs with it, but if there was anything seriously wrong with it it would be shut down. Enough said.
