    the format i want to convert is AVI to DVD

    I use Xilisoft, but I only have the free trial. It converts AVI to DVD, but you'll need to buy it to get any movie over 5 minutes converted.

    Very confusing places but after 9 hours of researching, I was able to rip my dvd to avi ^_^ and yes avi to dvd tutorials are there too.
