Ok well this was my first ever attempt at a render. There was one very big problem though.

I went to test it on different backgrounds, and i was doing it on the wrong layer, meaning i filled the background back in after i'd rendered it ¬.¬
So i filled the background with the same colour as the forum so you can tell me how good my cut was.

I know its been done many times, but i would just like to know whats wrong with it and how i can improve it so i know for my 2nd cut =)

Please post helpful tips if you have any:)

    Thanks :)

    Pretty good :)

btw u can always make a new layer then fill it and put it under the rest of the layers.

for your first render it's not bad. But don't save it with a black bg

    Thanks guys =)

Yeah like i said above, i had a background layer which i was using to test the cut on different colours, but i realised after that i was changing the background of the render layer not background layer, and CTRL+SHIFT+Z wouldnt go back far enough to get back to transparency =(
