It's been asked before but I still can't work out how I can use the fonts I download. Can someone guide me from start to finish to install the fonts please such as what you would do so you can use the font when designing something. Really want to make my designs better but I need to sue much better fonts. Any help would be great ^_^ Hope what I said was clear.
If you're using XP, here it is: Control Panel --> Appearance and Themes --> Fonts in your menu --> File --> Install New Font..
1.Download to desktop 2.If .rar or zip unzip it to the desktop 3.Extract it to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts 4. Restart ps if you had it open 5. Enjoy! Plus rep creds appreicated If u need help just say
after you download a font, save it somewhere if it is a zipped folder(my documents is where i save it)...and then open the zipped folder and un-zip it to, C:/ > Windows > Fonts..... it should automaticly show up under your fonts in PS.. hope i helped lol, bmc beat me to it
Still no luck, keep saying this file is password protected Thanks for all you reply's much appreciated.
if the file/font is password protected then there is a password that you must've encrypted in there or something b/c fonts from dafont are not password protected...all the above will work once u extract the fonts
Right no problem with the password but I can't see the font in my font list in PS. Suggestions?
what version of windows are you running? if you are running xp go to control panel and then fonts and paste your fonts in there
Yeah I have got xp, I copy and pasted the font where you told me to but it doesn't show up on the fonts list or in photoshop.
You have to install it manually, copy and paste won't do anything. Of course you have to copy it to your Document first in order to find it on your Install new Fonts list..
Done all of the above but when I go to install fonts it comes up with the following screen. I searched through other posts but they didn't have the same problem as me.
Na that isn't the problem just can't install the fonts in the font folder keeps coming up with that screenshot below.
