As the GameRenders team gets closer and closer to moving to V2, some important issues have came up that we need your thoughts and opinions on.

• Should we have a sub section for Graphic Clans, and if so; what requirements should be set for a clan to get their own forums.
• If yes to the above, should Clans get their own user groups if they reach a certain amount of active members, or certain other special rights?
• What sort of items would you like to see in the store? Be realistic, and think of good prices. Would this item be something you would buy, is it realistic in terms of what GameRenders can offer, etc
• The current GameRenders forum layout: like it or it needs to be changed? If so, what sort of sections or changes would you like to see
• Tournaments: Should GameRenders hold monthly, smaller tournaments...or larger, tournaments that span over several months?
• Should GameRender members get a vote in Sig of the Week? If so, how do you think this should be done.
• Are you looking forward to GameRenders Version 2?

I don't really like the idea of Graphics Clans...... all it is is saying "I'm better than you" I'll edit when I have some more ideas..

 

Should we have a sub section for Graphic Clans, and if so; what requirements should be set for a clan to get their own forums. yes! digital-industry is a very good example, except get like wins and losses of the team, members of the teams, wins and losses of members

If yes to the above, should Clans get their own user groups if they reach a certain amount of active members, or certain other special rights? I believe they should be able to have all the rights, as long as it does not branch out to another site.

What sort of items would you like to see in the store? Be realistic, and think of good prices. Would this item be something you would buy, is it realistic in terms of what GameRenders can offer, etc Everything now, but like items would be cool

The current GameRenders forum layout: like it or it needs to be changed? If so, what sort of sections or changes would you like to see : same sections as right now, like team battles, and maybe "RANK" places to battle pro v pro int vs int noob v noob etc.

Should GameRender members get a vote in Sig of the Week? If so, how do you think this should be done.No way - people would be using other accounts to vote etc...

1) Yes. 10+ members and maybe a 15 page shop.

2)Should get own user group and color. But no special abilitys.

3) Not sure what to add but some things could be lowered in price.

4) It has changed so much since I joined. I'd say leave it how it is.

5) I'd like smaller tournaments that happen more often.

6) I think they should. But a poll would not work. Got no idea how they can.

7) Yes. But I hope credits are still there.

I am highly looking forward to V2 and I think sections for graphic clans would not be too bad as long as it is one that will actually stick around unlike alot of the little noobiw ones that last a week and the tournaments are a nice idea too maybe even try to get sponsors for them...

Yes: They should be well known members, IE x +Rep to start one, and you could make it so that x amount of creds gets you a sub section.

User groups would be cool. Other rights could include...I'm not really sure ATM.

Rent a sub section maybe? You could pay like 3000 credits a month to have your own sub-section?

An amusing diversions section could be cool. The site also needs some better colors. It does get old after a while.

Monthly tournaments for sure.

There should be 2 different sig of the week competitions. One in which the mods vote, and one in which the community votes IMO.

No...I'm not, LOL just kidding, Yeah I'm looking forward to it.

 

• Yes, a clan section would be nice. Maybe:
  
  Clans
  - GFX Clans
  - Gaming Clans
  - Other clans
  
• Say they reach about 15 members and are very well known and very active, then yes.
• Items in the store, I say money steal. And more amont for the random money item.
• The current forum setup is nice and unique, they only thing I don't like is teh marketplace setup.
• Monthly tournaments are fine.
• Just setup a poll, I lvoe the idea IMO.
• Duhh, they only thing that keeps me coming here.

 

If, by graphic clans you mean graphic teams, like DreamyEffects, and GR Yakuza, and stuff, yes, otherwise, It'll create too much spam. As for things in the shop, I'd like to see something where you could be "spam patrol" for an hour, and go around, kinda like a mod, except all you can do is delete spam, not anything else. That'd go for about 800+ credits, and be bought alot, likely...

 

1) I think a clan board would be interesting. It would be kind of cool to see what all the clans could whip up in battles. Maybe hold contests like build a template. Make a Sig collab, or even more!

2) I think if a clan gets so many active members the staff could give them little icons like the moderator sign or irc moderator sign. Something to signify the clan and to show the Gr community that there is something interesting to do out there rather than just talk in the General Board. Also it could give people who never started graphics to maybe get into it.

3) Realistic things to sell in the shop... Lets see. I don't have any online money but if i did i think you could get some GameRender Shirts. I think a black shirt and on the back say "Got GameRenders" OR something along those lines could be cool. Maybe even some staff comic jokes would be cool. You would need to find a good artist to draw all that for ya (maybe just do stick people) Or something. Also you could get some hats made for people! That could work possibly. There also could be getting a Game Render Soundtrack. Just get some Game Render Members to work on a cd or something. Hmm.... Maybe you could do something for the hip hop people (which isn't me lol just a random thought that came to mind) you could get like fubu pants or whatever and have them say "Game Renders" or "GR" or something. Just some thoughts!

4) I think this layout is alright. There are a few but not many things i could suggest to be honest. The colors are kind of dull. I see alot of places with this kind of color scheme in it. Maybe try something new and unqiue. I'm not good at thinking of colors that go together real well so i couldn't help you there. Als you could have something like Member of the Week or Member of the Month. Something to give the members at GR to look forward to and try hard to get people to like them, which could lead to a nicer community.

5) Tournaments, lets see. I thnk you could do tournaments from time to time. I wouldn't make them run like 1-2 months long. That would not be fair to all the members who worked there heart out for all the contests and never succed but keep trying. I'm sure those people don't want to have to wait weeks or months to try for a new contest. I think maybe have someone always thinking of contests so when one is over, a new one could begin. If not maybe take a week break in between each one. That way everyone has a chance to settle after the just recent contest. Also i would try and make random contests... Some examples could be poetry, short stories, graphics, coding, just about anything that some members might like.

2) I'm not totally sure if i'm ready for v2 to be honest. I mean you have 500-800+ members on a day. There all use to the way things are unless there new. If you add a new layout it could be a few days or even a week for the members to get use to it. I'm also looking forward to it. I think it could be a bigger step to a bigger community. The members would wake up to a different look into Game Renders. Instead of looking at the same old gray color scheme it could be light gray and light blue or anything. There are alot of extra things that could be changed or added.

My Idea for SOTW.

Users should be able to vote, set up a poll and allow them to vote, but allow the members group as a whole to only count as 1 or 2 votes.

Want more incentive to become a Premium Member? Only allow Premium Members to vote in the poll. In my opinion this would cut down on false accounts. Who would want to sign up and then have to pay $5 over and over just to win one SOTW.

I'm going to have to disagree because..

People would be working in a group. There wouldn't be a one person clan. All the members of the clan work together into one piece. If one person did all the work someone could possibly say that, but! Since there working on it together they earn no right ot say that there better than someone. That person could have done the worse job.. And the person who there saying that to could have done the greatest amount in that combined creation. Just my opinion though i'm sure the staff will figure out how it will be run... Also...

If you don't think it would work i would suggest just ot going to the board if it is made

1.Of course. As for requirements, I'd say, 10 members, 2 leaders (with atleast 1000 posts, and must be of atleast mid-high intermediate status [as to be determined by an admin]).

2.Well, a special color, or an Icon (like the prem member one). Special, abilites, no, not really, leaders should be somewhat mods (close/pin threads).

3.I'm happy with the items, to be honest. I'm not really much of a shopper anyway.

4.I'd just like to see it a bit more compacted...maybe add more sub forums to parent boards, make it look a tad more clean.

5.Smaller, and monthly. Maybe something like a album of the month. 5 sigs entered, of freestyle, or something of that nature.

6.No. There is no easy or fair way that this could be done. Maybe let the previous weeks SOTW winners have a vote.
