For those of you who don't know, there is a religion called Scientology. It was created by some person who just wanted to make money and not have to pay taxes. Their website, scientology.com, is currently trying to get another site, scienTOMogy.info, to change their name due to 'copyight infringments'. scienTOMogy is a site making fun of scientology and tom cruise, and member and supporter of the religion (article here.) The church of scientology also hired a private investigator to try to get the owner of scienTOMogy fired from his job (here.) I think they are taking this way too far. The site is just a joke, its not causing a lot of harm. I mean trying to get the guy fired, thats just not right. What do you guys think?

Scientology has had it's hands full in lawsuits, from hacking the FBI to delete their files on the investigation on them, to, an example here, blackmail (?)

It's not new it was made in the mid 1900's and it is very weird, their underlying belief is that an alien named Xeno or something made the universe and all the people are just criminals from billions of years ago sentenced to live on earth, it is something weird like this.

The story of Xenu, the galactic tyrant who first kidnapped certain individuals who were deemed as 'excess population' and loaded these individuals into space planes for transport to the site of extermination, the planet of Teegeeack (Earth). These space planes were supposedly exact copies of Douglas DC-8s. He then stacked hundreds of billions of these frozen victims around Earth's volcanoes 75 million years ago before blowing them up with hydrogen bombs and brainwashing them with a "three-D, super colossal motion picture" for 36 days. The traumatised thetans subsequently clustered around human bodies, in effect acting as invisible spiritual parasites known as "Body Thetans" that can only be removed using advanced Scientology techniques. Xenu is allegedly imprisoned in a mountain and kept in by a force-field powered by an eternal battery.

Scientologists argue that published accounts of the Xenu story and other colorful teachings are pulled out of context for the purpose of ridiculing their religion. Journalists and critics of Scientology counter that Xenu is part of a much wider Scientology belief in past lives on other planets, some of which has been public knowledge for decades. For instance, Hubbard's 1958 book Have You Lived Before This Life documents past lives described by individual Scientologists during auditing sessions. These included memories of being "deceived into a love affair with a robot decked out as a beautiful red-haired girl", being run over by a Martian bishop driving a steamroller, being transformed into an intergalactic walrus that perished after falling out of a flying saucer, and recalling life as "a very happy being who strayed to the planet Nostra 23,064,000,000 years ago."

    Lol...

Scientolgy mess with peoples heads, my teacher did some reasearch on them and the moonies wen she was at University and she said they made her take a test, then wen they had marked it they had told her wat a horrible person she was and that scientolgy was the only thing that could help her make it right. The Moonies kept saying how beatiful she was and that she was perfect in every way. They would give her massages all the time and all sorts of crap then once she had finished her research she left and they kept send her cards asking her to comeback all the time.
