Because i noticed that the percent of useless topics is increasing, i decided to make a renewed "Way to post" topic. First of, if you decide to make a thread take this in consideration: - Do i, myself, actaully care about the information that i want from other members or the information that i am giving to other members? - Could this thread offend people in any way? - Could a majority of people really care for this topic? - Does this thread have any value, or is it just a case of being funny, or trying to look popular. - Does a topic like this allready exist? Or is there something that is a bit similar like this allready going round? - Am i making this topic to get my post count increased? or to get people to like me? If one of these questions is answered by Yes, the thread should not be made, seeing it is useless and probably stupid. Are all questions answered by No, the topic can be made. Second, Posting: - Does my post in this thread answer the question of the thread, or is it usefull in any way? - Do i insult any people with my post? - Is the post Off-Topic? If any of these questions is answered with Yes, dont post, as it does not belong in the thread. If all questions are answered by No, Go ahead, and post. Remember kids, there are No stupid questions, only stupid people. So if you have a question, consider this: - Is it a serious question? - Can't i solve it in any way? - Don't i know people that can help me? If the answer to all questions is Yes, PM a mod or a Admin, since they can handle the problem. Do not, in any circumstance post a thread about the problem, since members cant help you. If any of the questions is answered by No, Dont PM a mod, Dont make a topic, because you can handle it yourself. Rep is a Currency, not a way of paying. - Do not ask for +Rep as payment, that is not what Rep is meant for, use creds as way of paying. - Do not -Rep people without a good cause, so if anyone doesnt like rap/rock for instance and you do, dont -Rep him/her, it is their opinion, and a -Rep will not change that. - Don't ask for creds for things you did not make, it is disrespectful to the one who made. So render packs you made, but without any renders of you, should be free. - Do not ask creds for everything, its better to give then to take. - If you give something for creds, other people will also ask for creds, so try to give more things for free. - Earning creds by posting useless things is not the way, earn creds by battling for instance, or post usefull things, such as voting in a battle. Ways of judging in Battles: - Do not vote if you do not know why you vote for someone, "Its t3h s3x" is not a good reason. - Do not vote for someone because he is your friend. - Do not ask people to vote for you in change of creds or +Rep. - Keep score of the battle, since this makes it a lot easier for the ones battling. A couple of other things: - Do not flame people for things they made, their opinions or their believes. If you think it truly is necessary of flaming people because they did something terrible, Pm a mod, they will handle the case swift and quickly. - Flamewars aren't fun, and if you think otherwise go annoy your friends on IM/MSN Etc. - The search button is your friend, dont ask about things to quick, first search. The same goes for Google. This is quite it, if i did forget something please note me and i will add. Following this will make GR a better and spamfree place.
