Yup. People at your school are bound to have better and more current information than anyone here. And what I posted are good guidelines to work with...

wow man your only in grade 10th i realize you wanna go to a good college but if you work yourself like acomputer & stay on computer 24/7 it mite not work

im in 9th, but i have experience, from my bro gettin accepted to Harvard, but decided to go to UVA & UVA Law, well he did lots of SAT Workbooks, +AP Classes, IB classes not in our school, he got 1546 on SAT (Old 1), he finished one SAT workbook in like 1week-1month forgot........................

he did bad early in high schools like A's & B's then slowly to straight a's, he graduated above 4.0 gp, because AP Classes add a whole point that alll i can remember 4 now

Alright, I used to live in Princeton, my dad worked there.

You seem to be on pretty good track for a good school.

But there's a few things that would help a lot

    1. Legacy- I doubt you have anybody in your family who went there, so you're out of luck.

    2. Minority- Top of the line schools are looking for a lot of diversity. If you're a minority, you have a lot better chance of getting in. Except Asian people, as there are already a overly large representation of them in most higher colleges.

    3. Volunteer work- This you can actually do something about. If you want to go to a good school, you have to show that you care about your fellow beings. Do a ton of volunteer work. Just start doing that instead of being behind the comp.

    4. Leadership qualities- Try and become the leader of your extra-curricular organizations.

    5. Sports- Sports help a lot, but if you're not very good at them, 3 years of JV tennis letters won't impress most colleges very much. If you're not very good at a sport, at least to the point where you can make varsity, you'd probably be better off just doing another extra-curricular.

    6. Grades- Obvious. But getting straight 100's in regular classes will be less impressive then getting A-'s on Honor and AP classes. Make sure to take just about the hardest schedule possible at your school.

    7. Luck- Hey, everyone needs a little ;)

P.S. College is the same as University. They're basically interchangeable in America.
