I think a lot of people are confused about what "old school" games are... I don't think using a new render (aka 3D Donkey Kong and Samus, and even the new Terminator one) should be counted. When I hear old school, I usually think SNES and Sega days, and before....

yea, it would be nice to get some specific consoles that are allowed

Pretty sure it's SNES and earlier. Might be wrong though.

 

Yeah....when I hear old school...I think of like original mario games on the SNES or something like that

Maybe there should be a list of what consoles are allowed?

i agree that u should not be able to use a new render of a old game find a old pic of the old game and use it that is the challenge of this weeks theme. BTW what do u guys think of mine

argh.. they should have specifically said that in the sotw thingy.. i just wasted my time then.. i think this time they should count thm all.. they never said newer RENDERS weren't allowed, just newer games..

 

This SOTW theme really sucks... since they had Marvel theme I think DC Comics should also be a theme...you know Batman Superman etc... ALso a human theme like celebs, or hot babes or idols(your personal idol) or something like that....

 

Yeah, they never actually SAID if we can't use newer renders.

It quite clearly saids no new renders for those games, thats the 'challenge' of this weeks SOTW. You can also refer to the first page of this topic, a few post down for the same exact post.

Learn to read, then we wouldn't have a problem

No, it was like that since the first post.....Which is why I made my post about how people are confused about renders. Maybe it's just me, but common sense tells me that when an "Old School" theme is in effect, "New School" renders of Old School characters doesn't count.
