Port Forwarding

    just wanna know is there any big dangers in port forwarding through your router and has any1 here port forwarded there router :D

    Depends what sites you visit, I doubt anybody on GR will expliot it, but some sites I visit it woudnt be a great idea to do it :)

    Certain games use diffrent port ranges so it will allow other people to connect, its mainly harmless, depending on which ports.

    Firewalls block pretty every port aswell, so if you are planning on opening a couple of ports for Torrents/Servers etc, make sure you have the firewall of at the same time. (The correct ports will probably be on the website of the program/game your using)

    But then again, if you have a router, you don't need a firewall, Router friewalls ftw! ;)

    yea ive port fowarded
    basically i did it for bitcomet to speed up my connections... and warcraft so i could host games
    can't think of any reasons to port forward anything unles to play games..... nothing wrong with port fowarding do as much as u can

    I did port forwarding once, so complicated, dont see anything bad in it, i did it for a cs server :)

    what i mean in can it be dangerous like am i more pron to get hacked or stuff and get virus's easyier if i opened ports? ^_^ because i did it once before and lol on zonealarm it said like i was getting 32 intrusions and 2 were high rated and it went up by 1 every 1min so...

    also did you guys have to make a static ip?
