I Recently Reformated And I Need Help!

i just reformated my comp, and now im really pissed off at my desktop icons! Before, the text under the icon used to have no backround, so it doesnt cut out the wallpaper. but now, theres an ugly black box (or any color i set it too) around the text, and it messes everything around. How can i fix that so it is transparent?

im running windows XP

Tried changing theme?

 

Try searching, there are a few threads about this in the Computing section

 

try this

right click on desktop>arrange icon by>and unchecked lock web and desktop

 

tryed that and didnt work.

I think I know what to do..

right click on my Computer, go to Properties, the Advanced tab, then Performance Settings. scroll down and check Use Drop Shadows for icon labels on the desktop.
