winks are not good they are stronly bad .... they are virus ...... i read a statement from mess.be site and say this

Not only can Winks be annoying, they're exploitable even and thus a huge security risk for your system. The fact that the 7.0.0205 beta build doesn't allow proper disabling the automatic playback of Winks increases the danger level.

    From www.mess.be

so i really stronly recommend u guys to disable the winks on msn ..... the way to disable is this step

That's why we strongly advise you to follow these instructions if you plan to continue the use of the current MSN Messenger 7 BETA at all.

    >> Download Timothy's [ Winks Blocker ] for MSN Messenger 7.0.0205.

    Instructions:

    1) Sign off and completely shut down MSN Messenger.

    2) Go to your MSN Messenger program directory (usually something like C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger).

    3) Rename msgslang.dll (eg. to msgslangbackup.dll) and then place the msgslang.dll included in this zip-file in the MSN Messenger program directory.

    4) Go to your application data directory (usually something like C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger (BETA)\<random number>).

    5) Delete all data in the sub-directory Wink (repeat this step for all numbers in the MSN Messenger (BETA) directory)

    6) Start MSN Messenger, sign on and send the Wink called "Timothy's Wink Blocker" (a blue, devil duck) in those conversations you want to

    7) If you patched MSN Messenger 7 before (ad removed, polygamy , etc), you can get it back like this:
    - Sign off from MSN Messenger and shut down the software completely.
    - Go to your MSN Messenger program directory again (usually something like C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger)
    - Rename msgslang.dll (eg. to msgslangmess.dll) and rename the file you changed in step 3 (eg. msgslangbackup.dll) back to msgslang.dll.

Your blocking Wink will still be available from the Wink menu, and you will have your patched MSN Messenger 7 back!

Good luck at following this step....
