That has got to be the funniest thing I've heard all week. I suggest reformatting, solves every problem most of the time, but someone else may think otherwise...
yeah i know its funny .. i'm so pi**ed about it .though .. its a new computer so im thinking formating it might void warranty or somthing .. i might have to take it to where i bourght it but its the weekend and iw ant to use it .now .. lol
Sounds like a reformat is an option... I would try using a boot disk first to load the os...then delete the files you transfered over. If you don't know which ones though... a reformat is your best bet.
If you laptop is branded it should have come with a recovery disc. I suggest using it, it wont void your warranty.
how exacly do you use this recovery disk .. it says its windows xp service pack 2 recovery disk .. but when you boot from it .. its just like the windows setup ... is it possiable to use it to re install windows the cd says .. OPERATING SYSTEM CD Microsoft windows xp professional service pack (contains software and drivers already installed. for software resinstallation and repair only) does this mean that you can format and put the operating system back on .

[/b][/quote] It means when you stick it in it reverts your computer back to the way you got it with software, drivers and all.
