Well I don't really have a sound card, its the built in 7.1 thing on the mobo. Today it stopped working. I tried playing iTunes and it wouldn't start. I tried WMP and it told me I don't have a working sound card. I check my Control Panel -> Sounds, and I don't have a sound card.

What happened? What do I do? I wanna save calling the computer shop for last because last time I took it in (to fix video card and 3 fans) it took over a week.

Oh and I have Asus A8N SLI, I can post more specs but I doubt they're important.

go to add new hardware and detect devices and see if it detects it, it might have gotten deleted by accident.

That doesn't seem to be working. I go through all the audio devices that I can see and they all seem to be working fine, but the computer says "No Audio Device" still. Bah I should've called them but they just closed...

reinstall your drivers, had the same problem earlier, just reinstalled the drivers, and it worked again.
